How to get Airtel GPRS and 3G internet settings on prepaid or postpaid connections

So to get internet settings I too digged out google but  was stuck with the old posts related to Airtel GRRS settings on Google.So I called customer care and they gave me internet settings.

Dial *567# on your phone you will get a menu of internet options.

Prepaid Customers :
For GPRS Internet settings : SMS MO to 543210,

For 3G Internet settings :
First check your handset compatibility sms 3GHS to 121.
Then SMS MO to 543210,and enable GSM/WCDMA dual mode.

Few internet plan available with Airtel internet are,
1. Rs. 5/- 25MB / 1 Day
2. Rs. 10/- 100 MB / 2 days

3. Rs. 25/- 175 MB /7 Days
4. Rs. 98/- 1GB (1024MB) 30 Days,

Airtel Internet 98INR offer

Hi there !

I have one good news for Airtel cellular service users and those who like to spend most of their time on social networking sites,mailing etc like orkut,gmail, twitter.

Airtel has introduced new internet plan its Airtel GPRS Rs 98 /- plan .
This plan includes 2GB internet surfing that means you can have 2048 MB total download.You can buy this from your nearest Airtel store or customer care.But for 2 months its free.

To tell you reason behind this launch is that as DOCOMO has introduced it's new plan of total 12 GB/year Internet on Rs 94/- topup which includes 1GB/Month with free calls. And in current scenario most customers have DOCOMO and Airtel connections. So to save Airtel's new plan it has launched its same 2GB plan as an introductory offer so that at least for 2 months Airtel users should stick to Airtel.And after its users get used to it they will have to buy Rs 98/- internet 1 month plan .

This plan will get activated after 24 Hrs . But don't directly open browser or surf as in your phone your internet settings might be different . So first request Airtel customer care for Mobile Office settings and then install those. After that only you will be able to surf with that free 2GB plan otherwise is Airtel live is used as internet settings you may loose your account balance.


With maximum surfing speed upto 25Kbps you can download big files too but this is possible only by connecting phone to computer using data cable and good network reception. Use this internet via mobile phone with the help of your phone's PC suit application.(I have downloaded videos from Youtube with around 30Kbps speed)

On mobile phone the surfing speed can vary depending upon network coverage and network traffic same as for PC but you may observe much speed in pc than in phone.
At night hrs speed increases .


The only drawback on mobile phones as modem is that if you accidentally interrupt the connection or data cable you might disconnect connection and will have to refresh the page you are surfing or restart the download after reconnecting the phone to computer. On mobile phone you may completely lose your downloaded file if network failure occurs. So its better to download files on computer not on cell phone as you can resume the download even after the connection is lost using download managers like IDM.

The only precaution you should always have that check usage before you surf using *123*7#
Otherwise if you have completely used your 2GB package then you will be charged 30 Paisa per MB.

Recently I heard a news amongst my friends that Airtel is giving 100 Mb Free for 3 months . When some of my friends told me that this offer is working then I too tried it and luckily got it for 3 months . Now I am using it but keeping in mind that I can have it free only up to 100 MB per month not above it otherwise I will have to pay for extra bytes .

I have a good news for Airtel Prepaid subscribers . You can get a credit of 10.00 INR to your Airtel number .

I am telling you how it could be done . But first of all let me tell you the conditions . You must have a prepaid card and your phone's balance must be in between 1 to 7 Rupees any thing less or higher than that is not acceptable . So when your balance reaches 7 Rupees try this .

Go to Write new message. Type "LOAN" and send it to "121" i.e. the Airtel customer care . Like this

By following these simple steps you can get 10 Rupees credit in your account . But like every Bank which gives loans Airtel give you the credit but you have to return that amount after some time .Similarly you will have to return that 10 Rupees with 1 Rs interest within 2 days of request.
Means Airtel will charge you 11 rupees after you recharge . Otherwise you will loose your mobile balance by 11 rupees on third day and all balance will go in negative figures. So it is better to recharge asap .

Whenever you have less than 7 Rupees in our Airtel prepaid and you are sure you are no where in the vicinity of balance recharge point then you can try this trick rather should say the facility provided by Airtel for its Prepaid users .
